Tuesday, October 6, 2009Magicka is an action/adventure game set in a Norse fantasy world where you and up to three other players play as wizards. The big thing about Magicka is the cooperative play and one of its main game-mechanics “The spellcasting”. Together with some friends you can wreak havoc and blow things to smithereens. The mechanic let the players, in real time, combine different elements to create spells to use on your enemies.

According to the website there will be 15 levels total in the campaign and several challenges to take on, the release of the game is scheduled in 2010 and Xbox Live Arcade will be the main platform for the release. Take a look at the announcement trailer!
When I first saw the game today I was amazed, I loved the art-direction for this game, the game looks fantastic and cooperate play is the way to go.This game looks so much fun, and I believe that’s what they are going for, a social and fun night together with some friends enjoying the bashing of thousands of enemies and accidental friendly kills.
Arrowhead Game Studios
Arrowhead studios is a swedish game developer, the company was built around this game which started as a studentproject that won the title “Game of the Year” at Swedish Game Awards 2008. Their main focus is to develop games that are intuitive and innovative for creative gamers.
